| The photographer: Late afternoon, May, 1973 Steve entered this world, in Chickankata, Zambia.
At the age of 10, he moved to New Zealand where he was schooled, received his diploma in electrical engineering, and began working in ISO quality standards. His passion for creation and music lead to many weekends away, multiple recordings, and a constant search for expression.
A founding member of (#1 single and platinum selling album) New Zealand band fur patrol, Steve moved to Melbourne in 2001 where he lived for 3 years, and began his journey in photography after being given a camera belonging to his grandfather (a 1920's London photographer and life long musician).
Leaving the band after 9 years, 2 albums, 1 ep, 10 film clips, and crowds of 35,000, Steve made the move to Sydney where he explored photography further, honing his skills by assisting top commercial Sydney based photographers.
In 2007 (after a pyjama party incident) Steve moved to Paris, where he currently works as an independent freelance photographer.
Steve’s work ranges from detailed precision, to split second timing, to delicate mood.
Constantly observing the world around him, Steve is able to find beauty in the smallest of moments.
